Metamorphic Return to Fusion project

Metamorphic Return to Fusion is an ongoing multi-sectional project that interrogates my transitory negotiations of identity, anchored in larger questions about displacement, belonging, shapeshifting, in/visibility, and self-(re)invention.   

The project comprises four concurrent volumes titled: Metamorphic Return, Born in Flight, Fissured, and supplanting taxonomies and memories. The project as a whole utilises conceptual video abstractions, performance, installation assemblages of family memorabilia and objects, face-less portraiture, mask sculpture, and photo-transfer light box collages. Mythic character performances take on the form of traveling shrouds and masked beings that evade surveillance, embody the power of opacity, and explore elemental relationships to the earth.
